The story

Across other worlds.
Into his own.

Eon grows up beside the sea, drawn to its beauty and its mysteries. When a dive brings him close to death, the questions it leaves behind follow him into adulthood.

Years later, a return to his abandoned childhood home leads him to an ancient pocket watch—and to realities beyond the familiar. Guardians of time, memories of other lives and a living inner labyrinth turn his search for answers into a test of understanding.

Woven through the journey are questions about the uses of power, the weight of the past, the future of technology and our responsibility to the natural world.

“What matters most is what we are doing in between.”

It begins beside the sea.

Opening excerpt · Chapter One, “Eon’s Journey.”

In a little peaceful and remote seaside village, where the salt-kissed breeze danced with the waves, there lived a young boy named Eon. From the moment he could walk, Eon felt an inexplicable connection to the sea, its vastness echoing the depths of his soul. He spent hours exploring the rocky shores and swimming in the sandy beaches, marveling at the beauty and power of nature.

As a child, Eon's days began long before the sun rose, his small feet tracing the familiar path to another village where the school awaited. The journey was arduous, but he welcomed the solitude of the early morning hours, with the rhythmic crashing of the waves as his soothing companion.

One day, while walking to school, the calm waves of the sea drew his attention, their gentle rhythm inviting him closer. Unable to resist the allure, Eon took a detour, drawn by the glittering water’s quiet beauty. The ocean, calm and serene, seemed to beckon him, and before he knew it, he was swimming beneath the surface, immersed in the silence of the deep.

During a long dive, Eon found himself mesmerized by the underwater world—the way the light danced on the seabed, the shifting colors, and the silent aquatic life unfolding around him. Lost in the moment, he didn’t realize how much time had passed. It was only when he decided to return to the surface that he became aware of the distance—farther than he had anticipated. His breath was running out.

Another question within the story

What is progress
without humanity?

Eon encounters a possible future governed by an omnipresent artificial intelligence. Virtual experiences replace ordinary sensations, inequality deepens, and nature becomes something the privileged try to recreate.

The novel places technological possibility beside an ethical question: what happens when a civilization gains extraordinary capabilities but loses respect for life?
